He did forget to cover the most basic way, take off the front wheel, cram it in the trunk of your little car and tie down the trunk. Or if you’re like me you just stick in the back of the minivan; no need to take the front wheel off.

Here’s my favorite way of getting my fatty to the trailhead – ride it! Second favorite – using my old saris porter rack. Works for any bike. But I still prefer tonride to the trailhead if under 20 miles.
